MENA Newswire: Second season of “Tree of joy” - an annual Oberoi, Dubai event in collaboration with Artezaar took place on 7th December, 2021 at Terrace Garden. The Tree of Joy event was inaugurated by Mr. Andreas Wegner, Deputy Consul, Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, at the Yoga deck – against the backdrop of the iconic Burj Khalifa.
This was the second consecutive year that Oberoi Dubai organised the Tree of Joy celebrations, bringing together 30 students of German International School, aged between four and seven years, to paint their favourite festive characters with teachers from Artezaar, and decorate Christmas cookies with Oberoi Chefs. The star pastry chefs, who are known for their culinary master skills, were delighted to share their secret ingredients and above all, their preparations.
Prominent among the chefs included Chef Rajeev Krishnan whose philosophy is to create an elegant, clean palate, and enticing culinary delights. He has won a gold medal and was adjudged as The Creator of the Best Dessert at the 5th India International Food and Wine Show (IFOWS Culinary Cup), in 2008.
Chef Amita Patole graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, Paris in 2016 and loves to explore the creative combination through her mentor Chef Jean Francois Deguignet’s guidance. Her experience with Eric Kayser, Paris gave her that confidence and belief. She aspires to be the best Lady Pastry Chef in the MENA region.
Chef Nabendu Manna is famous for creating artisan bread, viennoiserie, handcrafted chocolates, and has a hand-on approach for French and Italian desserts. His passion for pastry has been acquired through various pastry courses with French chefs. Christmas is the best time of the year that reflects his true artistic approach towards his craft.
